Delivering For You!
Welcome to my website. I’m Richard Cherchio and since 2009, I have served you as the City Councilman representing Ward 4 in North Las Vegas.
I’m one of you…I’m a concerned citizen who came up through our neighborhood by founding the North Las Vegas Alliance of Homeowners Associations and Concerned Citizens. Through these two organizations, we have become a united voice to stand up to protect our residents, our neighborhoods and North Las Vegas against those who do not have our best interests at heart.
I need your support more than ever so that I may continue with that same resolve to do what is necessary to ensure that our tomorrow is brighter than today.
My guiding principal as your councilman is to treat the city like a family. We should care for one another, look out for one another, and strive to make North Las Vegas an even better place to live and work. But most of all, we should make sure that we are creating jobs, helping residents, encouraging businesses, and leaving a better North Las Vegas for generations to come.
I usually stay at city hall well into the night, returning emails and calls, and pouring over the budget looking for ways to save the city money, and make it easier for residents and businesses to locate in North Las Vegas.

For 25 years I served as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service, where I literally spent my life “delivering for you”. I have brought the same work ethic and spirit of service I used in that job to my current one as your City Councilman from Ward 4.
I came to North Las Vegas when I retired. I became active by serving as President of my local neighborhood association, the North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, the National Association of Retired Americans and the North Las Vegas Citizens Police Academy.
This led me to start the North Las Vegas Alliance of Homeowners Associations and Concerned Citizens in 2006. Shortly thereafter, I also helped found Citizens on Patrol in North Las Vegas. It was through my work and civic accomplishments in regards to public safety and protecting homeowner rights with these organizations that eventually led to me being asked to assume the vacant City Council seat in Ward 4 in 2009.
